ENTRY DAY: Wednesday, August 4, 2010.
Please bring your pre-registered items to the fairgrounds on this day between 8am and 8pm.



             

RULES: 

Superintendent: Mary Edelman     1. All articles must be the handiwork of and owned by exhibitor. 
     2. Articles which have previously won a premium are not eligible. 
Pre-registration is due by Monday, August 2, 2010 listing all exhibits intended to be entered.       3. Articles must have been completed within two years preceding the fair. 
     4. Soiled articles will not be judged. 
ENTRY DAY:      5. One entry will be accepted in each lot per exhibitor. 
WEDNESDAY, August 4, 2010 - 8:00am-8:00pm     6. Wall hangings must have a means of hanging.  Wire is preferred for pictures.  Quilted wall hangings must have "sleeve" or sewn-on tabs. 
     7. "Not otherwise listed" lots include ONLY articles that have no regular lots listed. 
     8. Judges will not ribbon an article if it is not quality work, regardless of competition. 
     9. Any article having exhibitor's name displayed must have it securely covered by stitched cloth or heavy tape, front and back for entry day and judging.  Building staff WILL NOT complete this task for exhibitors.  Covers will be removed after judging for public display. 
     10. No entry may be removed before 7:00pm on Sunday, August 15, 2010.  Building will close at 9:00pm. 
      **CHAMPION AWARD of $10.00 may be given to one outstanding article selected from each of the following area of Seniors and all ages categories: quilts, rugs, knitting, crocheting, needlework, clothing, non-clothing (sewn), and overall Juniors.  The quilt and rug Champion winners are eligible for the Minnesota State Fair Sweepstakes contests.**
