Dakota County Ag. Society Scholarship

The Dakota County Ag. Society will be awarding two $500 scholarships to two Dakota County Residents who are majoring in agriculture. The determination for these awards is based on part of the student's scholastic achievement and leadership. A major portion of the judgment will be based on the 500-word essay describing your interest in your major and how it relates to agriculture.

Qualifications for participation in the selection

- Must have graduated from a Dakota County High School and be a resident of Dakota County.
- Must be accepted to an accredited technical college, college or university.
- Must be majoring in an agricultural related program.

- Must submit a 500-word essay describing your interest in your major and relation to the agriculture industry.
- Must submit one letter of recommendation (cannot be a relative of the applicant.)

Dakota County Agricultural Society scholarships will be awarded to the students who meet the above qualifications and submit everything. All decisions are final and are not subject to alteration or review. They will be awarded Saturday, August 14th, at 7 pm at the Jr. Jackpot Sheep Show in the Sheep Barn. If you apply, please be present to see who is awarded the scholarships.

Applications can be mailed or delivered to the Dakota County Agricultural Society home office listed below. The application is due Saturday, July 31st, 2021.
