Barnyard Tours - Thursday, August 13, 2026

Guided Barnyard Tours will start at 10:00 a.m. and run every 30 minutes until 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Tours are hosted by FFA members and meet in the Children's Barnyard (map).

Note: The Children's Barnyard is available for self-tour all seven days of the Dakota County Fair, free of charge and no appointment necessary.

Please submit the 2026 Barnyard Tour Request form online or by email. Confirmation emails will be sent by Monday, August 10. Any change requests can be sent to fair@dakotacountyfair.org.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we feed the animals?
No! Never feed the barnyard animals outside food. All animals have a special diet and feeding schedule.

Can we touch or pet the animals?
Yes, there will be opportunities to pet or touch some of the animals.

Photos allowed?
Yes, there will be great photo ops throughout the tour.

How much is parking and admission?

  • Admission is FREE all week long, thanks to our generous community sponsors
  • Parking is $10/carload or $20/busload (cash only)

Can I bring a cooler?
No, outside food or beverages are NOT allowed.
